Background

Groupe SEB, a multinational houseware brand conglomerate, needed a scalable solution with high ROI to streamline its digital commerce platforms. Corra has had a successful years-long relationship with Groupe SEB brand All-Clad, which includes an effective CRO program and compounding UX overhaul. Challenge

one solution for many brands

Groupe SEB is a large company with many subsidiary brands. Because of the size of their brand portfolio, each brand previously had its own digital experience fragmented from the bigger-picture strategic goals of the company. Each brand also has its own set of stakeholders. The main challenge in this project was to build a robust, customizable, and reusable technical foundation to serve the needs of all the various subsidiary brands, and for the business teams to align numerous disparate stakeholders under a single, unified vision of how Groupe SEB’s digital plan should evolve.

Once the decision was made to migrate all brand solutions to a single Adobe instance, it opened up various value streams. Being able to reuse code and assets expedites the process, increasing Groupe SEB’s time-to-market, while also saving development time and money. This value-driving choice creates brand consistency because now all brands under the Groupe SEB umbrella have similar branding, visual assets, and navigation capabilities creating a cohesive but individuated brand footprint.

GLOBAL ADOBE LICENSE CREATES SEAMLESS EXPERIENCE AND MANAGES COSTS

All-Clad initially chose to build their solution on Adobe for its extensible base and their pre-existing familiarity with the platform. When it came time for Groupe SEB to decide which platform would host their entire company’s storefronts, Adobe was the choice. 

All-Clad’s success was certainly part of the decision but was so the Adobe Corporate Global License allows all a business's Adobe Commerce instances to be managed from a single place. This creates a streamlined process for internal teams to administer and manage the brand’s digital offering and offers value to Groupe SEB’s investment through improved process efficiency and value. Having a single touchpoint able to manage all of their brand’s sites is a huge boost as well as offering efficient ability to expand their offering into more markets, through more brands.

By reusing code and a single license, Groupe SEB can spin up new storefronts for brands located around the world faster than they could previously. Groupe brand, T-fal, had never had a digital storefront before but has recently launched an experience to North American audiences. Similar story with Rowenta, having never had a standalone digital experience to offer, the brand now has a North American offering. With Groupe SEB’s huge portfolio of brands, having an efficient but still customizable way to launch new storefronts is crucial to the success of their business. AI TOOLS DRIVE PROCESS EFFICIENCY AND STREAMLINE DATA FLOW

A huge advantage of working with a global leader like Publicis Sapient is receiving access to our arsenal of high-end tools and techniques to drive efficiency in project implementation. Working in a business environment like Groupe SEB’s, there is so much data and so many individual but interdependent processes happening simultaneously to launch this many storefronts around the world. Publicis Sapient always makes sure to optimize processes where possible, and in this instance, we used our proprietary AI migration tools to automate certain data transfers which frees up developer time to do more creative work as well as using tools to convert code in older languages to more modern standards.

Results

Rowenta and T-fal’s digital offerings have been launched successfully with more on the way. Due to reusing code and our scalable process, the project finished on time and under budget.
