With 53 home entertainment stores distributed across the United Kingdom, Richer Sounds is one of the largest hi-fi retailers in the country. Corra tested up to 2,000 concurrent users in the checkout funnel, and recommended a variety of critical code changes that substantially improved the scalability and performance of their store, leading to a 42% decrease in average server response time.
Corra’s support team was also able to monitor the site experience during the peaks caused by powerful email campaigns (200,000 emails/hour), and fixed key functionalities such as the PayPal Click & Collect custom module. As a result, Richer Sounds achieved a successful Black Friday weekend: for the first time, online sales surpassed brick-and-mortar purchases.
