Alcatel, one of the world’s top mobile phone providers, had already built their US and Canadian ecommerce sites with Corra as part of the Magento 2 Beta program. The company views their ecommerce sites as their largest retail stores, and was ready to expand this channel even further. In 2016, Alcatel leveraged Corra’s international expertise to create an additional Magento 2 storefront to serve Latin American markets.
Partnering again with Corra and international checkout provider GlobalShopex (GSX), Alcatel’s new LATAM site supports two languages, and all South American currencies. The site utilizes US-based fulfillment through Shipwire, and international fulfillment through GSX. International components include a location selector to determine country, and GSX’s extension and services to power the checkout. Alcatel took home the Great Explorer Award for International Expansion from Magento at the 2017 Imagine conference.
