April 11, 2012—Scores of ecommerce and Marketing professionals made their way through Manhattan’s rush hour melee to attend Corra’s Ecommerce Summit on Wednesday. Co-hosted by Listrak and Peer1, the joint networking and open-bar event gave ecommerce newcomers and vets a chance to catch up with their local counterparts in a fun and easy-going environment.
Gathered at the charmingly atmospheric Empire Room in Midtown Manhattan, guests wasted no time loosing their collars, grabbing premium cocktails mixed by bow-tied bartenders, and swapping business cards and industry secrets.
Darren Johnson, Director of Ecommerce for LoveSac stopped by, quickly attracting the crowd’s attention with his industry expertise and readily answering all inquiries about LoveSac’s successful experiences with Corra.
But commercial socializing wasn’t the highlight. The real star of this event was the success of Ten Thousand Villages. Through a joint effort by Corra and Listrak, the famed Fair Trade retailer recently launched a new Magento-powered ecommerce store with fully integrated marketing solutions. The project’s implementers were on hand to discuss its process, integration, and resulting improvement to Ten Thousand Villages’ online conversion rate.
