On the heels of winning the Great Explorer Award for International Expansion from Magento, the Corra team is pleased to announce another international launch! We are happy to unveil the beautiful new ecommerce site for Brazilian fashion retailer Riachuelo, now live on the Magento 2 platform.

One of the top fashion department stores in LATAM, Brazilian brand Riacheulo has been at the height of the retail market for over 60 years. Having grown to more than 250 brick-and-mortar stores throughout Brazil, the retailer was ready to continue their growth by offering ecommerce to their customers for the first time. Utilizing the improved capabilities of Magento 2, the Corra team provided full visual design, data-driven UX and development to make this project come to life.

How it was achieved

“We really pushed the boundaries with design, delivering new functionalities we haven’t done on other projects before,” said Jessica Jakov, Interaction Designer at Corra.

Some examples of these functionalities include a unique “Shop the Look” module on the home page. When users hover over a look, they’re able to see the individual products, including the product name and price, and they can save those items to their wishlist. Another example is the distinctive shopping cart, which slides out from the right side of the screen. This cart is a global element that users can open from any page on the site, adding ease and convenience to the shopping experience.

In addition to these design elements, many other aspects of the site have been highly customized, particularly the payments system. While Brazil has a highly complex payments process, the new site offers customers the ability to use several payment methods, including the Riachuelo credit card.

As one of Magento’s Global Elite partners, the Corra team is proud to continue working with international clients such as Riachuelo. With a focus on innovation and engagement, our two teams aim to continue to provide the best customer experience possible on the new site.

This ecommerce storefront marks an exciting beginning for Riachuelo in the digital commerce space that we’re confident shoppers will enjoy.
