With Thanksgiving weekend sales up 22% from last year, International Military Antiques, the leading retailer of military antiques and collectibles, ushered in a record-breaking holiday season.
The season was a success by any measure. Unique visitors to IMA’s website during the Thanksgiving weekend (Nov 23-26, 2012) increased 33% compared to last year (Nov 25-28, 2011), while order volume saw a 34% hike. As a result, IMA’s Q4 revenue was also up 41% year-on-year.
“We knew this holiday season would be big and that a high performing website would be critical to our success, so we called on the leading Magento Solutions partner, Corra, for support,” said Alex Cranmer, VP, IMA. “In the past, Corra has kept our site up and running during enormous, sustained traffic spikes. We were confident they would come through again for Black Friday weekend—and they did!”
IMA recently premiered a reality television mini-series, Family Guns, on the National Geographic Channel. Corra upgraded the website to a more robust platform and provided technical (CAMS) support throughout the series. While the show was on air, traffic to www.ima-usa.com swelled by 800%, transactions increased by 50% and revenue was up 45%.
