Corra is happy to announce another exciting fashion launch, and an addition to the Magento 2 ecosystem. The new ecommerce site for FashionValet, one of Malaysia’s fastest growing fashion retailers, is now live!

FashionValet was founded in 2010 by husband-and-wife team Vivy Yusof and Fadzarudin Anuar. When the couple was studying in London, they enjoyed the convenience of shopping online. However, when they went back to Malaysia, ecommerce websites weren’t available in their home country. They decided to start a fashion site that would showcase Malaysia’s home-grown brands and local designers, and FashionValet was born.

Since then, FashionValet has seen huge growth due to Vivy’s popularity as one of Malaysia’s biggest reality TV and Internet celebrities with hundreds of thousands of dedicated online fans. Today the retailer carries more than 200 brands and 10,000 products from across Southeast Asia.

In order to support their growth, the FashionValet team came to Corra for a redesign and replatform, moving from Magento’s Community Edition to Magento 2. Where they previously only had one responsive site, FashionValet now has three responsive sites for the Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia markets, as well as a rest-of-world site that ships to 16 additional countries.

The redesign focused on showcasing the range of brands and designers featured on the site, giving the new FashionValet.com a modern, clean look and feel. In addition to visual and UX design, the Corra team also implemented multiple currencies, integrated a custom order management system, and worked with Social Annex to enable rewards and social login. In Phase 2 of the project, Corra will be working on a redesign of the retailer’s mobile app.

Take a look at the new FashionValet site today and explore the latest from this exciting international retailer!
