Adobe Summit 2024: Edge Delivery Updates, Firefly AI Integrations, and Adobe’s AI-Powered Journey Optimizer
3 Min Read
Adobe Summit 2024 has come and gone with tons of new and exciting information coming out of the largest digital experience conference in the world. The commerce-specific announcements are full of possibilities for Corra, our partners, and our clients.
Read on to learn about developments around the Adobe ecosystem that were announced at this year’s Adobe Summit.
Edge Delivery Service Announced for Commerce, Overhauls AEM and Content Management
Edge Delivery Service utilizes packaged composable services to change how merchants can create and post content.
The big announcement about Edge Delivery is that users can now import content directly from Google Drive, Microsoft 365 programs, and many other word processing tools, which removes an entire step from posting content.
Previously, a content writer would create the content, and then pass off their work to a CMS developer, who would then work to upload the content. With Edge Delivery, the content will be uploaded from a word document directly into the website’s CMS, creating drastic efficiency by removing an entire workstream.
Eventually, Edge Delivery Service will replace all other versions of Adobe Commerce frontends, such as Venia or Luma, meaning savvy users will begin experimenting with its capabilities now.
Adobe Unveils AI-Powered Tools that Optimize Purchase Journeys
Journey Optimizer allows the management of cross-channel campaigns from a single application and includes the ability to harness data from millions of journeys and customers to give 1:1 user experiences.
Journey Optimizer now includes a B2B Edition; a dedicated enterprise application built on Adobe Experience Platform that focuses on account-specific purchase journeys. This solution enables marketing and sales teams to collaborate seamlessly deliver personalized B2B buying experiences and drive demand.
The days of mail-in purchases and order forms throughout the B2B purchase journey are over. B2B customers now expect B2C-level buying experiences with group-level personalization capabilities.
Journey Optimizer offers the best of both worlds: an ability to manage massive campaigns across many channels, platforms, and touchpoints, while also giving the ability to use that massive amount of data and scale of utility to create personalized and unique 1:1 experiences for individual customers and group-level accounts.
Gen Studio Integrates with Firefly Generative AI
Another content-centered announcement from Summit involves Adobe’s generative AI tool, FIrefly, receiving some exciting integrations with Adobe’s Gen Studio. Gen Studio is now fully integrated with Firefly and other Adobe suite products meaning content generated with Firefly is native to Gen Studio.
Users can create a ticket when the content is created which begins the process of the content being uploaded and integrated into Marketo or any other Adobe product being used in the ecosystem.
This intervention is exciting because it streamlines the use of the Adobe ecosystem, creating more touchpoints between products while driving efficiency.
Adobe Experience Platform AI Assistant Makes Adobe Suite Offerings More Accessible
Adobe’s new Platform AI assistant means everyone using an Adobe program has an Adobe expert in their back pocket. The AI assistant is available to answer technical questions, simulate outcomes, and generate sample audiences and journeys to help users optimize their engagement with Adobe tools.
Platform AI is a great tool for experts and novices alike and is there to help users get the most out of their Adobe products.
