Circa Lighting, a retailer of beautiful high-end lighting solutions, was ready for a total overhaul of their ecommerce site. They wanted new designs that would match up to their brand standards, and facilitate a seamless experience for shoppers. Additionally, they wanted to expand upon the services offered to trade users and interior designers. Corra was more than ready to take on the task.
The Corra team provided complete visual and UX design, as well as development for the Magento Enterprise platform. Our developers took on big improvements to the backend, and the project team interfaced with several third-party technologies, including Visual Comfort, Bronto, SalesPad, Avalara, Olapic, and BazaarVoice.
The strategy behind the new site combined enhanced shopping capabilities with editorial and inspiration elements. Integrating those two pieces into all digital touchpoints was critical, as Circa Lighting’s customers – both interior designers and end consumers – value a robust omnichannel experience. As such, Corra’s UX team designed the desktop and mobile sites to mirror one another in content and branding. From the visual display to the designer stories, users are able to explore the various facets of Circa Lighting and fall in love with the products.
A beautiful, flowing home page allows the user to seamlessly scroll through their options. Another enhancement that Corra created involved Circa Lighting’s quote feature. Now, trade users and interior designers are able to see the pricing they will receive, create a quote, edit the quote, and then convert it to an order and check out.
Though Circa Lighting’s retail footprint is limited, the physical environment is an important element of the brand. Corra created a meaningful user-facing digital experience that can also be utilized in store to provide inspiration, deliver additional product information, and guarantee exposure to products that aren’t in a particular store’s inventory.
Corra’s team understood our brand immediately, and has been quick in supporting us, preventing prolonged issues. As a result, our online revenue is significantly higher than last year.
