Corra is seeking a motivated Sr. User Experience Designer to join our fast growing digital agency in a Freelance capacity initially with the potential to convert to a permanent employee.

As a part of a smart and talented team aiming to add significant value to our clients’ organizations, you’ll have an opportunity to work with a growing firm and a great roster of fashion, beauty and lifestyle brands. You’ll be creating digital e-commerce experiences that span web, mobile and in-store solutions. Our office environment is fast paced, collaborative, rewarding and fun.

As a Freelance Sr. User Experience Designer at Corra, you will work within our team of strategists, visual designers, solution strategists and developers to ensure the delivery of best-in-class creative products for our clients. The User Experience Designer will also work with project managers and executive management to make sure that each client’s needs are being met, user’s needs addressed, and the creative/strategic goals are on track.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Understand the interaction design needed for each project and meet those needs to ensure the best possible user experience is delivered

  • Create wireframes, site maps, personas, task flows, user scenarios, prototypes and assist with usability testing summaries and set-up, working under the direction of the Exec Creative Director

  • Deliver quality strategic creative thinking and well-crafted solutions to meet (and exceed) a client's and user’s expectations

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • An understanding of the best digital practices and a good user experience

  • Background in interaction/experience design for websites, mobile experiences and applications

  • Well versed in UX design best practices to design solutions for mobile-first and responsive website design (PWA understanding is a plus)

  • Solid understanding of interaction design, information architecture, user experience and usability exposure to and working knowledge of usability testing and user research and considerate of usability and accessibility concerns

  • Clearly communicate, substantiate, prototype and document your design decisions

  • Passion for all things UX and design, and knowledgeable about the industry’s latest trends and technologies

  • Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines

  • Collaborative, motivated and an enthusiastic team player

  • Organized, able to think beyond what is asked for, acts independently & juggles multiple projects & competing priorities in a dynamic environment

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Clearly and effectively communicate design processes, ideas, and solutions to stakeholders

  • Interprets needs, objectives & direction from multiple sources of input & integrates feedback

EXPERIENCE

  • At least 7 years of UX design experience (some agency experience preferred)

  • Experience and a deep interest in ecommerce and/or transactional websites

  • A great portfolio of work that demonstrates your skills in user experience & product design

  • Broad knowledge of HTML5, CSS 3, Javascript and front-end frameworks

  • Knowledge of current design tools (Sketch, Invision, Adobe Creative Cloud)

  • Experience with responsive design and ecommerce is a huge plus!

  • Preferred but not required:
    Prototyping experience
    Experience analyzing analytics
