Corra is seeking a motivated an innovative Executive Creative Director to join our fast-growing digital agency. As a part of a smart and talented team aiming to add significant value to our clients’ organizations, you’ll have an opportunity to work with a growing firm and a great roster of fashion, beauty and lifestyle brands. You’ll be creating digital ecommerce experiences that span web, mobile and in-store solutions. Our office environment is fast paced, collaborative, rewarding and fun.

As an Executive Creative Director at Corra, you will manage our global team of visual designers and user experience designers to ensure the delivery of best-in-class creative products for our clients. The Executive Creative Director will also work with solutions strategists, developers, project managers, client services and executive management to make sure that each client’s needs are being met, user’s needs addressed, and the creative/strategic goals are exceeding expectations.

We work closely with our partner teams through all stages of design and development, from identifying initial opportunities, to refining the user experience, to analyzing the impact of our efforts and highlighting improvement areas.The ideal candidate is passionate about the power of technology to inform people about their world. Successful candidates are excellent communicators, expert design thinkers and strategists, passionate about social platforms, comfortable in a fast-moving organization, excited to collaborate and focused squarely on bringing compelling and relevant online experiences to life.

The ideal candidate will have a plethora of ecommerce experience in an agency setting, knows innately how to balance the difference between best practices and bad habits, can spotlight innovation design strategies versus fads, and has a deep empathy for the complexities of running an online business. This candidate will be equally comfortable in the depths of a complex customer journey map as well as the ambiguities of an evolving visual design language for an established brand.

Responsibilities

  • Ability to lead a diverse team of geographically dispersed professionals, including mentoring, oversight, and maintaining team utilization across multiple projects

  • Deliver quality creative thinking and well-crafted solutions to exceed client and user expectations

  • Ability to present the agency’s creative credentials and design approach to prospective clients

  • Understand the interaction and visual design needs of each project and meet those needs to ensure the best possible user experience is delivered

  • Turn business objectives into user-focused research strategies that will help elevate our clients to new levels

  • Provide oversight for the creative of wireframes, site maps, customer journey maps, personas, task flows, user scenarios, prototypes, mood boards, visual designs, user testing and associated research

  • Partner with Sales to concept strategic concepts that illustrate creative thought leadership and ecommerce innovation

  • Master in presenting, pitching, consulting, and challenging the C-Suite, both internally and on the client side

  • Comfortable with public speaking and representing Corra at conferences and trade shows

  • Solid understanding of how data informs a design process

  • Comfortable in agile, waterfall and hybrid design and development methodologies

Required Skills and Abilities

  • Background in ecommerce customer experience design for websites, omni-channel initiatives, mobile experiences and applications. Experience with physical retail is a plus

  • Well versed in design thinking methodologies to design solutions for websites, and have a deep understanding of mobile-first, responsive design and progressive web apps

  • Expert level knowledge of interaction design, information architecture, visual design, user
    experience and advanced knowledge of usability testing

  • Passion for all things UX and design, and knowledgeable about the industry’s latest trends and technologies

  • Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines

  • Collaborative, motivated and an enthusiastic team leader

  • Organized, able to think beyond what is requested, acts independently and juggles multiple projects and competing priorities in a dynamic environment

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Clearly and effectively communicate design processes, ideas, and solutions to stakeholders

  • Interprets needs, objectives and direction from multiple sources of input and integrate feedback accordingly

Experience

  • 12+ years of UX design and Creative Direction experience (some agency experience strongly preferred)

  • Extensive experience in ecommerce and/or highly complex transactional websites and apps, from concept through launch and beyond

  • A great portfolio of work that demonstrates your skills in user experience & product design

  • Broad knowledge of HTML5, CSS 3, Javascript and front-end frameworks

  • Knowledge of current design tools (Sketch, Invision, XD, Adobe Creative Cloud).

  • Experience with responsive design required
