Corra is looking for a Resource Manager who will be responsible for managing allocations of professional staff for cross-functional design and development teams. Corra’s Resource Manager effectively and efficiently chooses the right people for the right projects at the right time. This person will work closely with our functional team Directors to both assign work and help us understand future headcount needs. Comprehending how sales forecasts and booked business translate into resource forecasts across multiple departments and disciplines is an essential skill, along with understanding how those forecasts translate into project plans and revenue. The Resource Manager will use various software systems to analyze and optimize team utilization across departments, report on resourcing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and ensure that our staff is the right size for our business at all times. This person will report directly the Director of Resource Management.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Director of Resource Management in maintaining a regular cadence of meetings and communications with PMs and other stakeholders to understand resourcing needs across all departments in the company, including international offices

  • Maintain a continually updated view of current and upcoming projects and business development activities as they relate to resourcing

  • Use Corra’s Mavenlink system (as a hands-on expert) to maintain a current view of all resourcing needs

  • Use Corra’s Mavenlink system to develop detailed reports and analysis on resourcing needs and provide other necessary business intelligence to support staffing and allocation decisions

  • Work with project squad members to estimate the number and type of staff needed to achieve project goals

  • Work with department managers to understand their team members’ skills, experience and desires, and match them successfully to client projects

  • Work with Project Managers and Delivery Managers to make resource assignments (Master Planning) that lead to quality project delivery and high resource utilization

  • Manage priorities across a large portfolio of clients and projects to ensure proper staffing levels are maintained at all times

  • Forecast headcount needs across multiple departments

  • Develop detailed analyses of KPIs such as utilization and development velocity, and support Director of Resource Management in reporting on those KPIs directly to C-level staff

  • Onboard new hires on time logging and resource planning tools and related policies

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • In depth, hands-on experience using Mavenlink for Resource Management or Project Management in a software development or agency setting is required

  • 1-3 years (or more) of experience in Resource or Project Management in and agency or software development setting is required

  • Fluent English and excellent written and verbal communications skills are required, no exceptions

  • Advanced abilities with standard office software applications (e.g., spreadsheets, word processing, presentation) is required

  • Expert level skills with spreadsheets and detailed quantitative analysis of complex data is required

  • Experience with design, implementation and customization of ecommerce systems preferred

  • Experience in a fast-paced working environment

  • Experience with Jira is highly desirable

  • Experience with Quickbooks is desirable

  • Experience with Salesforce is highly desirable

  • Experience working with international teams is highly desirable

  • Strong leadership, communication, and team building skills

  • Must be able to quickly learn, understand and apply new technologies

  • Be supremely organized, detail-oriented, and a self-starter
