Objective

As one of the world's top ten mobile phone manufacturers, ALCATEL was looking to expand their retail operations in the US and Canada. The company viewed their ecommerce sites as their largest retail stores, and wanted to expand this channel and connect with customers.

Searching for a new platform to support their growth, they were interested in Magento 2's improved performance, checkout, and administrative functionality, as well as the ability to achieve a quicker time to market. Corra, one of the first Magento 2 Trained Solution Partners in the world, was the perfect partner to take on this project.

Solution

With a tight turnaround needed before the holiday season, Corra completed discovery, design updates, and implementation of both the U.S. and Canadian sites in only 10 weeks. The intuitive and scalable CMS of Magento 2.0 and the improved customer support interface has provided ALCATEL with the tools necessary to manage their success. The two sites operate with fantastic performance and speed. Both sites show they can support 1,000 concurrent users on Magento 2.0—much higher than version 1.14.
